Entering its third year, Journey Fest is
quickly becoming one of the most exciting, diverse and
anticipated events in Tampa Bay. Featuring vendors, activities,
camping, a kids zone, and two stages fled with local, regional
and national acts representing country and southern rock music
genres, Journey Fest 2010 promises to be the best yet! On
Saturday, guests can witness Atlanta-based Blackberry Smoke,
America’s up and coming premiere southern rock band now on their
4th CD release, whose past credits include sharing the stage
with ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Shooter Jennings. The legendary
Charlie Daniels Band will close Journey Fest on Sunday. Guests
can witness this multi-platinum recording artist and American
icon perform such hits as “The Devil Went Down in Georgia”, “The
South’s Gonna Do It Again”, “The Legend of Wooley Swamp” and many
more.
Journey Fest will be held at the beautiful Sertoma Youth Ranch,
situated between Pasco and Hernando Counties, home to more than
650,000 residents. The ranch is a quick and easy commute to the
Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg and Clearwater areas. Journey Fest is
a major annual fundraising event benefiting the Sertoma Youth
Ranch, a non-profit organization whose
mission is to provide and maintain a clean and safe outdoor
recreational area for Florida’s children on its 88-acre
multi-use, multifunctional park and campground. The ranch is
available for sponsored youth groups to use at no charge and it
receives no major outside funding except for private donations
and monies generated through various on-site events throughout
the year.
Each year, Journey Fest doubles in size and this year should be
no exception thanks to the great line up of talent. Journey Fest
is an opportunity to place your message, product and service in
front of thousands of Floridians. Be sure to join us
in latter February for Journey Fest 2010!
